On June 1, 2026, the Suburban Bayou City Chapter along with Ladies and Top Teens and members of the Houston NAACP—were honored as community nonprofit partners and treated to an evening of partnership and meaningful conversation. The engagement centered on strengthening collaboration with the City of Houston and reaffirming the importance of our shared mission: serving youth and adults with purpose, excellence, and consistency.
City of Houston leadership, including Mayor John Whitmire, Councilman Willie Davis, and Mrs. Davis, graciously thanked the ladies and teens for their dedication, leadership, and continued community impact.
Recognition Through Service
Earlier recognition also reflected the leadership of the Ladies and Teens as host and ambassadors at the Mayor and Ministers Prayer Breakfast on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 7:30 a.m.
The primary goal of this annual event is to bring together diverse government and faith leaders to ensure every community is served, address community needs, and build a stronger, more united Houston. With more than 300 confirmed attendees, the breakfast convened leaders of shared values across Houston’s many communities, emphasizing the partnership between city leadership and the faith community as a vital strategy for meeting the city’s challenges.
Sisterly Relations in Action
Together, these partnerships and shared engagements reinforce a commitment to community service, youth empowerment, and long-term impact—advancing progress through unity, cooperation, and faithful leadership.
A special appreciation goes to Lady Nikita Breaux Benjamin for coordinating and helping bring each of these events to life. This is what sisterly relations look like—strong, collaborative, and rooted in service to others
