Michael is one of the Lions’ longest-serving players, having joined the program in its earliest days alongside a small group of fellow countrymen from Myanmar. He has won multiple trophies and individual awards and has become one of the Lions’ most recognizable and respected faces.

To our players who trained hard, our coaches who gave their time, and our volunteers and supporters who made everything possible - we are deeply grateful. Your commitment, patience, and belief in these young people is what makes the Lions more than a team. We wish you a peaceful, joyful holiday season and look forward to building on this together in the year ahead.

Over the next few weeks we will introduce you to some of the young people who make the Amaanah Lions such a powerful community. Our players come from every corner of the world, yet on the field they find something shared: family, belonging, and the chance to build a future together.

Their journeys remind us of what is best about America. Not the endless background noise of a divided nation, but the shared values of the people who believe it can be better. Not the obstacles, but the pride and satisfaction we take in overcoming them together.

As a team, we are proud to celebrate the ongoing progress of Sheik Bah. This weekend, Bah played the full 90 minutes for A&M–Victoria as the Jaguars secured a hard-fought 2–1 victory over North American University at Houston Sports Park, earning their spot in the Red River Athletic Conference tournament.
