Inequity has replaced Inequality as a topic for discussion, speeches, town halls...I believe that one of the most significant inequities we have in society is healthcare inequity - between people, communities, countries of different socioeconomic statuses. Though many countries in Africa lack reliable healthcare systems and infrastructures, there are some who have managed to build great health systems that serve all their citizens. One great example is Rwanda. A country that almost burned to the ground in 1994 is today a developped nation and a key player in global affairs. Imagine putting a bandaid on an infected wound. Would you expect the wound the heal? if not, is it because a band-aid is not a solution? we all can concur that though the bandaid is part of the solution, it won't heal the wound, it is integral to identify the root of the issue. Unity Heals is a Texas-based NonProfit organization, with the mission to improve healthcare in underserved communities through the building of facilities, system engineering, and tech consulting, starting in the country of Guinea. Our first project is to build a clinic in Conakry, Guinea.

I am proud that Unity Heals is a standing Nonprofit organization in the state of Texas today and I am blessed to work alongside an amazing team who is passionate about this cause. However, we are just starting and we have a long way to go. Your support will make the journey more fun and smooth.
