Today as we celebrate another Heavenly Birthday of our Queen Keyaira L Harris, we continue to honor her legacy. Keyaira was adamant about helping young ladies of color in their education endeavors post-high school. As a reminder, when she was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer, she said the one thing she would accomplish, no matter the obstacles, was acquiring her college degree. She received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas-San Antonio. So today, we honor her legacy and wishes in the second Keyaira L. Harris Legacy scholarship competition. Would you please share this information with 2023 high school graduates that meet the requirements?

Today is the first anniversary of Keyaira Harris's transition from this earth. Keyaira played a significant role in selecting the type of services her nonprofit would provide to others after her transition. One particular item she was adamant about was helping young ladies of color in their education endeavors post-high school. When she was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer, she said the one thing she will accomplish no matter the obstacles was acquiring her college degree. She received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas-San Antonio. So today, we honor her legacy and wishes in the first Keyaira L. Harris Legacy scholarship competition. Keyaira L. Harris Nonprofit Organization Purpose

The Keyaira L. Harris Nonprofit Organization is being developed to share her life and legacy. As a senior at the University of Texas-San Antonio, she was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer in April 2018. On November 22, 2018, she was given six months to live, but through God’s grace she is still with us. With fortitude and a strong family support system, she was able to graduate with her Bachelor's degree. For this reason, scholarships will be given to young women graduating from high school in homage for her dedication to education. Also, she has a desire to make wigs for persons being treated for cancer. The impetus for her development of a wig line was birthed while a patient in the local hospital. Ultimately, the purpose is to provide young women with educational scholarships. In addition, the organization will donate wigs to patients receiving treatment for cancer. This organization is strictly dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals through charitable contributions - scholarships and wig donations.
