House Lore of The Elementals

"In the beginning..."

As the Earth began to form a millennia ago, so did The Elementals. The primitive planet hosted only the original 4 Elementals- winds, flame, dirt, and ocean. These originals knew not of the power they wielded, only that their presence and emotions caused physical changes in the world around them. They were the causes of fires. Of floods. Of earthquake and deep blue sea. They realized early that being in proximity caused their fae powers to behave chaotically and interact with each other. Earth and flame begat volcano and lava.. Winds and ocean begat hurricane and cyclone. They could not exist together as They chose because even as their powers brought new life, they first destroyed what already existed. Another thousand years passed and the fae became lonely, as they were the only sentient beings on the ever changing planet. As the primordial ooze cooled, the Original Elementals finally understood their powers and how to use them, so they scattered handfuls of fae seed across the world to bring into existence House Elemental... fae designed for progressive chaos. Who would deconstruct the things around them to usher forth new life and beauty, and tend to the earth's ever growing needs.

Welcome to House Elemental!

Our mission as Elemental fae is to be stewards of the Earth and uphold the natural balance. Where we destroy, we also create. We are chaos. We are everything and nothing.

It is our aim as a House to help in volunteering efforts after natural disasters, foster positive community connections, and open up the fantastical world of Fae to POC. We're currently gearing up for the Sankofa Soulstice, where our Houses will be debuted to the world. If you're a Black Fae, hit that like and join us! If you're an Ally, stay tuned because you're not excluded! While our mission is centered on the experience of Black Fae, attendance to House Elemental functions are all welcoming and will be posted on this page as they're planned.

What kinds of fae bring you inspiration, and what inspires your fae?

Good afternoon, fae! I hope we're all well. I'd love to start chatting yall up to let you know about the *practical* side of House Elemental, as we not only are the agents of destruction, but CONSTRUCTION. Think of the nutrient rich fields able to sustain life after a volcanic eruption. Controlled wildfires to encourage growth. That's what we're about. Being stewards of the elements.

That being said, it is our house's aim to be at one with all elements, at their best and at their worst, and be there after to help calm the torrent seas, as you could say. I'm specifically speaking about making sure our house members have some sort of presence for aid or relief after the many natural disasters that occur on our planet.

Could you imagine a legion of Black Fae going to clean up a beach after a hurricane? That's what kind of energy we're looking for here. The energy to DO and BE those active agents of chaotic change, both for good and bad, but always in balance
