We're just a few months away from tax season, and Dr. Michael Crockett has an important message for anyone planning to use their tax refund to purchase a vehicle: **Spend wisely and protect your money!**

Dr. Crockett shares what inspired him to open his own car dealership. After operating tax offices inside a dealership, he noticed something troubling. Customers who normally could have purchased a vehicle with $2,000 down were being asked for $5,000 simply because the dealership knew they had received a tax refund.

He saw an opportunity to do business differently. Instead of taking advantage of customers who had extra money, he wanted to help them get reliable transportation and keep more of their hard-earned cash.

**The lesson? Just because you have more money doesn't mean you should spend more money.**
