The Pearland Youth Orchestra serves to provide the opportunity for Pearland youth to perform with an orchestra. Contact us for audition dates.

The orchestra is available to students in 6th grade-high school.

What an incredible way to close out the season for Pearland Youth Orchestra! Our members showcased their hard work this semester with a fantastic summer concert this weekend at San Jacinto College.

We are so proud of all of our musicians for their hard work, dedication, and outstanding performances throughout this year. Thank you to our amazing staff and conductors who make this program possible, and to our families for the constant encouragement and support you give our students every step of the way.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this season unforgettable. We can’t wait to see what’s ahead for PYO!

🌍🎶 Don’t miss this year’s PYO Summer Orchestra Camp — where we’re taking music around the world!

Join us July 13th–17th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peace Church in Pearland for an unforgettable global musical adventure. Students will explore sounds and styles from different countries and cultures while building their skills as ensemble musicians.

Led by Grace Lewis, recipient of the Houston Symphony’s Excellence in Music Education Award, campers will grow in music theory, technique, and orchestral performance through daily sectionals, fun activities, and rehearsals — all leading up to a special end-of-week performance inspired by our musical travels.

🎻 Open to all string players (violin, viola, cello, and double bass) 5th - 12th grade with at least one year of experience through advanced levels.

This past Saturday, our string orchestra had the honor to perform at one of our member’s quinceañera! Thank you to all of our families and performers that showed up to support Ms. Scarlet on her special day, we couldn’t be more proud of our orchestra!

PYO has been hard at work preparing for their spring performances! Our Prep Orchestra has made incredible progress learning to play together as an ensemble and preparing their pieces for the summer concert, and our String Orchestra is fine-tuning their repertoire and gearing up to finish the season strong with some wonderful performances before returning this summer for our annual Summer Orchestra Camp! Stay tuned to see highlights from their spring performances!

Mark your calendars for the Pearland Youth Orchestra Summer Concert on Saturday, May 16th at 6:30 PM! This special evening will feature a variety of inspiring performances showcasing their talent and dedication. The performance will feature the works of accomplished composers such as Jean Sibelius, Soon Hee Newbold, Deborah Baker Monday, and more!

Tickets are $7.50, benefiting scholarships and outreach. All are welcome to attend and support Pearland’s next generation of musicians. Tickets go on sale April 1st!

✨ Last night, Pearland Youth Orchestra performed at Pearland’s Festival of Lights! ✨

Our talented musicians brought festive music to the community, spreading holiday cheer to close out this season of PYO. It was a magical evening filled with music and joy, and we’re so proud of our students for sharing their hard work on stage!

On Sunday, our Prep Orchestra performed at Carols & Cocoa at Peace Church! Students had a wonderful time providing orchestral music during service, and got to meet Santa after the program! Thank you to Peace Church and Pastor Scott for having us and providing a wonderful performance opportunity to our Prep Orchestra.

Our Chamber Ensemble and String Orchestra had the incredible opportunity to play at Uncorked, a benefit for soleana_stables tonight at the Lone Star Flight Museum for the second year in a row! We’re so proud of our talented members for giving their first performance of the Fall 2026 season, and can’t wait to see what the rest of this semester has in store.

A big thank you to SoleAna Stables for inviting us to perform and letting us help support an amazing cause!
