Midweek Reminder 💙✨

Not every restart will feel exciting. Some will feel quiet, slow, and uncertain, but that doesn't make them any less meaningful. Healing isn't a straight path, and growth doesn't happen all to once.

Spring schedules can get busy quickly, so staying connected can make all the difference. When a loved one is struggling, send a check-in text, offer a listening ear, or simply be present with them. Small acts of support show them they're not alone.

Encourage someone who doesn't expect it. —Brooke

Sometimes putting feelings into words can take time. And sometimes, the words don’t come out the way we expect them to.

That’s okay.

Whether it’s one word, a sentence, or just starting the conversation, expressing what’s on your mind is a meaningful step 💙

When life gets tough, it can be challenging to reach out to a friend you haven't connected with in a while. Remember that it's not too late to pick up where you left off.

Not everyone who is struggling looks like they are.

Smiling depression is the quiet kind, the kind that doesn’t always get noticed. It’s showing up every day, laughing at jokes, taking pictures, and being there for everyone else… while silently fighting battles no one sees.

It can look like being “high-functioning.”
Like getting your work done but feeling empty.
Like being surrounded by people but still feeling alone.
Like smiling in photos while hurting the moment the camera is gone.

Because of this, people with smiling depression are often told things like “you seem fine” or “you’re always so happy”, and that can make it even harder to open up.

The reality is: a smile doesn’t always mean happiness.
Sometimes it means survival.

That’s why it’s so important to check in, not just on the people who look sad, but also on the ones who seem the strongest.

Be gentle with people.
Be present.
And remind those around you (and yourself) that it’s okay to not be okay, even if you’re still smiling.
