Join Us in Celebrating Success!

On October 27 at 6:30 PM, Main Street Ministries will proudly celebrate the graduation of the 56th Life Empowerment “Getting Ahead” class. These graduates have invested time, effort, and determination into building a brighter future, and we want to make this milestone special for them and their families.

We’re looking for volunteers to help with setup, welcoming guests, serving dinner, and cleanup. We’d also love donations of desserts to share during the celebration.

More Than a Tournament. More Than a Game.

As we reflect on this year’s tournament, we’re reminded that every golfer, sponsor, volunteer, and donor helped make something much bigger possible.

At Main Street Ministries, impact isn’t measured in scores. It’s measured in stories.

One recent story involved a woman who spent months working with our volunteers to regain her identification. After countless appointments, paperwork, and perseverance, she finally held that ID in her hands. Fifteen months earlier, she had been in hospice care, wheelchair- and bed-bound. On the day she received her identification, she walked beside our volunteers without assistance.

When asked how she wanted to celebrate, her answer was simple: a burger, fries, and a drink from McDonald’s.

That moment wasn’t just about obtaining an ID. It was about dignity. Independence. Hope. A future she could once again envision.
These are the lives your support touches. Every tournament registration, sponsorship, and donation helps Main Street Ministries walk alongside individuals who need someone to believe in them, advocate for them, and remind them that they have not been forgotten.

This incredible program equips participants with valuable life skills, personal development tools, and resources that help individuals and families move forward toward greater stability, opportunity, and success. We are honored to walk alongside these participants as they take important steps toward building a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

We were honored to bring Bridges Out of Poverty training to San Jacinto College for the East Harris County Empowerment Council (EHCEC)!

More than 80 community leaders, stakeholders, and partners from across East Harris County came together to deepen their understanding of poverty and explore ways we can work differently—and more effectively—to strengthen our communities.

We are especially grateful to the Episcopal Health Foundation for inviting Main Street Ministries to facilitate this valuable training and for their continued investment in building stronger, more connected communities.

A big thank you to Terrance Narcisse and the EHCEC team and to San Jacinto College for hosting us and bringing so many committed community leaders to the table.

When we learn together, we see differently—and when we see differently, we can create new possibilities.

Look what showed up at Operation ID! 🍪

Our first batch of freshly baked goodies from Golden Butterfly Bakers is here! Starting this week, our Operation ID clients will get to enjoy fresh coffee and a sweet treat every Tuesday and Thursday morning while they’re here.

Golden Butterfly Bakers has a beautiful mission:
“Love on the least, the lost and the marginalized via the gift of quality baked goods to remind them that they have not been forgotten.”

We LOVE that.

Sometimes a cup of coffee ☕ and a fresh-baked treat may seem like a small thing, but it can be a simple way of saying, “You matter. We’re glad you’re here. You haven’t been forgotten.”
