Heyyyyy there is no p***s 🤭😂😂😂😂 Chief Walter is now Dolly.
Let me tell you something. The name fits. This girl is the sweetest, gentlest soul. She just wants to be touched and loved. After all the sh*tty, hateful humans she came across, Rosas Reyna was the first to show her kindness. And Nancy, she didn’t care about all the ticks on her. Dolly wanted loving so she held her and gave her love before jumping in the car to bring her here. I am looking forward to watching this little girl flourish! She is anemic from the ticks, she has infection in the ears and on her body from the ticks, but she is heartworm negative as of now, we know that can change in the next 6 months but we went ahead and got her Proheart12 and we will retest in 6 months! Her IDEXX4 came back negative across the board (yay) but we did the extra tick born disease test and will get those results in 4 weeks. She is tentatively on the schedule to be spayed in 4 weeks, hopefully her cbc comes back good and we can get her spayed. My worry is with her being around 9 months to a year… she could be pregnant. I’m certain we will have this girl transformed and ready for her spay day in 4 weeks though! Hopefully she can just relax, sleep, feel safe and EAT! 🩷

His name is Chief Walter!

Another one safe from Cleveland TX. With Big Paws K9 Foster House. Nancy gave up her Sunday to go out and pick this boy up for me! And Rosas well this lady gives her all to these dogs, day in and day out! Thank you for feeding him, thank you for networking him, thank you for going out and securing him and thank you for vaccinating, giving preventatives and bathing him so he will be flea/tick free when he arrives! Thank you for going above and beyond!

AND THANK YOU to everyone for the donations, food, monetary, driving, sharing etc. it takes a village. I do not say thank you enough, but just know I am so so so very grateful for each and every single one of you!

Calvin is coming alive, no more of the blank eyes, scared, gotta go gotta go gotta go look. He is choosing when to go outside and coming back inside when he is ready! And my favorite part is he is playful, the tail is up, curled and wagging! He has also started to play with the other dogs! 🥰

National Dog Day is a reminder to recognize the unconditional love, loyalty, companionship, and joy that dogs bring into our lives—and to shine a light on the millions of dogs still waiting for a family to call their own. 🏡🐾

For our furry family members, National Dog Day means more than extra treats and belly rubs. It means **being loved, protected, respected, cared for, and given the chance to simply be a dog.** It means understanding their needs, celebrating their quirks, providing enrichment and exercise, keeping them safe, and remembering that they depend on us for their entire lives.

Little Otis arrived at Big Paws K9 Foster House today thanks to our volunteer drivers! He is settling in, had short introductions to all the other dogs. Calvin seems to think we got him a puppy! 🤭🥰

I am excited to see what we learn about this handsome dude!

We did an initial vet visit last week and we have another scheduled for 3 weeks.

You can apply to adopt him, but he won’t be available to leave just yet.

Transportation MAY be available up to 1,000 miles.
