We have some exciting work happening behind the scenes and we want to encourage anyone who's been blessed with experiences through the Dulac Community Center throughout the years to join. These photos are from their recent Youth Ambassador Retreat on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada! They gathered with the full cohort, explored blue carbon research facilities & regenerative ocean aquaculture, and workshopped their upcoming community-based projects! Let’s show some support for our Bayou Youth Blue Carbon Ambassadors! Marlys, Gabriel, Marlett and Natalie! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🌎

Coastlines across North America will be getting some extra love this year, as we are thrilled to announce EarthEcho’s new cohort of Blue Carbon Ambassadors! These thirteen youth and their partner organizations from British Columbia to Puerto Rico and cities in between will dedicate their efforts to improving coastal resiliency through projects focused on education, outreach, and hands-on restoration events with their local communities.

The United Houma Nation is excited to host a Native Drumming Workshop led by tribal citizens Raymond Clark Jr and Larry Phillips!

📅 Date: July 16th
🕒 Time: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

This free workshop is open to boys aged 13 and up (limited to 20 participants). Come experience the rhythm, learn the tradition, and connect with Houma culture through the powerful art of Native drumming!

The United Houma Nation is proud to share that a Basket Weaving Workshop led by master Louise Billiot will be held!

📅 Date: Saturday, July 18th
🕙 Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
📍 Location: 187 Corporate Drive, Houma, LA 70360

This free class offers a wonderful opportunity to receive hands-on instruction in traditional basket weaving and cultural craftsmanship. Participants will learn from tribal elder Louise Billiot while connecting with Houma heritage through this important art form.
