Today we celebrated the Ribbon Cutting of the NEW Splash Pad at Watkins Park.

Thank you to the Hot Springs Parks & Recreation Department for partnering with PACA to help bring our decade old dream of a Splash Pad to life on Park Avenue. The new Splash Pad at Watkins Park will be open to enjoy on weekends only from 10am - 7pm until Halloween this year. (Regular season will begin next year and be open daily from May 1 - September 30.)

You’re also invited to join PACA for our Trick-or-Treating event at the park and splash pad on the evening of Saturday, October 31, 2026. Volunteers to give out candy and guard the crosswalks are always appreciated.

We hope to inspire other neighborhoods to continue to put in the work of fundraising, grant writing, and believing that they can accomplish seemingly impossible goals by working together with their neighbors.

The Splash Pad still has a lot of work to be done. The next stages will include fencing, seating, shade, and artwork. Safety is a top priority to the committee. Please be extra careful when visiting and enjoying the Splash Pad as all of the extra needed features and amenities are not in place quite yet.

If you live or work in the Park Ave. neighborhood, please consider joining the Splash Pad Committee to continue the work for this tiny but mighty impactful project. PACA meets every third Monday evening at 6pm at the park or a local business if the weather is not favorable.

To all who donated their time, money, and effort to helping create this Park and Splash Pad for the residents of Hot Springs, you are the anchors of this community and your work has paid off for the future generations. Thank you tremendously! 💦
