City of Hot Springs Board Meeting 03/03/2026 @ 6 pm
We are aware of the recent letter regarding the use of the Church Street parking lot and the outreach efforts that take place near the Transportation Depot.
For the past six years, The Giving Team Inc., alongside several nonprofit and faith-based partners, has provided monthly resources at this location. This has included meals, hygiene supplies, clothing, and connections to additional services for individuals experiencing homelessness.
The Transportation Depot has long served as a central hub for those in need. It is also the designated location where the annual Point-in-Time Homeless Count is conducted. This reflects its established role within coordinated outreach efforts in our city.
Outreach is most effective when services are delivered where individuals already gather. Relocating services away from this central hub does not remove the need it creates additional barriers for people who already face transportation, mobility, and access challenges.
Our mission has always been rooted in dignity, order, and community responsibility. We do not operate randomly or without structure. We organize volunteers, manage distribution, and work to leave areas clean and restored after each event.
We understand concerns related to downtown activity, parking, and visitor experience. We are open to continued collaboration with city leadership to ensure that outreach efforts are coordinated responsibly while maintaining access for those in need.
The Giving Team Inc. remains committed to working with community leaders toward solutions that balance economic development, public safety, and compassionate service.
