We are over the moon in welcoming our newest Board Member Courtney Lyneé. She is a UArts graduate and a working actress with a SAF/AFTRA designation. She has appeared in numerous local commercials but is also a seasoned stage actor/director. We welcome Courtney and are equally excited that she chose to volunteer her time with us.

I met Amman a few years ago. He was finishing out college and also working at my sons after school program. I learned that he does a lot of community theater. He is our youngest Board Member and offers so much to this org.

While he enjoys keeping things on the downlow, it is safe to say Amman is grateful to be a part of this lifetime crusade. Since high school, Amman's bite from the theatre bug has given him a passion and drive to perform on the stage. It wasn't until his later years at Montco, where priorities changed for him to attend to. And so, the drive took a pause. Despite a worldwide pandemic, Amman's career took him to Temple University, where his passion creeped back up, nailing a few roles in plays around the community.

As mentioned, Amman is an alum of both Montgomery County Community College and Temple University. Outside of performing, he maintains a strong sense of creativity. You could find Amman drawing in his sketchbook along with creative writing. Not to mention, Amman is an avid geek as he also enjoys reading comic books as well.

The great Barry Dratch was the first to learn about this theater nonprofit when I mentioned it to him about 6 years ago. I’ve done some community theater with him and appreciate his experience in these circles.

He is a lawyer, father of three, and grandfather of two. He lives in Bucks County. He has been involved in two theatre companies over the last 17 years. He is a producer and actor for the Ohev Shalom Players. He also on the Board and an actor for Neshaminy Valley Music Theatre. When not involved in theatre he likes to play golf, watch basketball, read, and spend time with his family on Long Beach Island. He is thrilled to be part of STAR Productions and starting a theatre company from the ground up with a lot of great people.

Creating a theater outlet has truely been a passion for Ryan. While he begins his two year term as the President of STAR Productions, He wants the legacy to be a place where grandparents, parents and children can all share the joy of theater together.

He has always enjoyed theater and dabbled in it during college + post college. He met his wife over 20 years ago performing in a community musical production.

Professionally, Ryan has spent nearly 24 years in managing local, regional, state and international non-profits. Most of that time overseeing emerging membership organizations. His hobbies include coaching the Philadelphia sports teams from his couch, cooking food on his smoker, writing long facebook posts, telling dad jokes to his children, and according to his wife, leaving stuff laying around the house.

Our Board Vice-President is Amanda Hinkle. I met her at college in 1997. We studied theater together. We also starred together in that college production. Actually, she was the star and I was just happy to be in the same show.

The warm glow of the stage lights, connecting to the audience, drawing on their energy, disappearing into different characters, the pause before the thunder of applause - all of these aspects and more drew her to theater from an early age and informed what she would go on to study, who she would become in life. She felt at home on the stage in a way that she didn't always feel growing up - at school, with her family, in her own skin. Theater was a deep and early love, one that carried through from elementary, middle and high school into college and beyond. It fostered lasting friendships she holds dear to this day.

“It is an honor to be building this kind of sacred space, this community, that meant so much to me then and will again” says Amanda.

Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Penn State University, and a minor in English. She is the office administrator for a medical device company that provides personalized early prostate cancer detection, planning and management technology.

Outside of the office, you can find her voraciously reading, watching horror movies/bad movies with her husband and close friends, getting ready for spooky season (finally!!), and cuddling with hertwenty-year old cat.
