🌟 *Exciting Update on Ethel Mae’s Soul Food Restaurant!* 🌟

Hey wonderful community,

We wanted to take a moment to update all of you on the incredible progress we've been making with the new soul food restaurant, Ethel Mae’s. As many of you know, this project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring my mother and serving our community by providing delicious meals to many. We've been hard at work securing grants, working with the state, and collaborating with various stakeholders to make this dream a reality.

We understand that time is passing, but we want to assure you that every effort is being made to bring Ethel Mae’s to life. Your patience and support mean the world to us, and we promise that it will be worth the wait. The year 2024 holds some amazing things for us, and we can't wait to share them with all of you.

Please continue to bear with us for just a little while longer, and stay tuned for more updates. Keep us in your prayers, and know that we love each and every one of you.

Hey there family and friends just stopping in to give an update.

Update: We are in the process and working towards final steps of a few grants that we applied for. In the wait of all of that we are still working by cleaning out what will be removed and trying to preserve what needs to stay.

🛑 We have hit a stopping point as of last week due to my dad being placed on hospice, so we are going back and forth between here and Dallas to spend as much time with him as we can. We solicit your prayers during this time. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Some good news: We’ve had some amazing response from the community about this project, so much as several people have donated to the Ethel Mae’s project! 😭❤️‼️🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

God has sincerely been leading and guiding us through this huge project and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Please continue to bare with us but also PRAY FOR US!

We’ve had some hiccups and some stumbling blocks but y’all we are working. Thank you for everyone that has stood with us financially on this project and those that have committed, thank you to the contractors and their labor of love and dedication to this project.

This will take a little time to get to the final result but just know we will get there , 2023 will be Ethel
Mae’s Birth Year.

The mom of Ethel Mae!

Today is Arnett Smiths birthday my granny and my heart, she would have been 93 years old today but she’s celebrating with in heaven with many of my other family members.

There is such a great history behind Ethel Mae’s and Arnett is a big part of that history.

In the time of waiting we have been praying and thinking of ways to pay homage to this amazing family and the staple they have left in our community, although a new name will be on the face of this building it will always be remembered as
“Foster Shoes” , and that in itself makes my heart happy.

I’m very big on family, not just my family but I instantaneously accept all
People, if I met you in Super 1 this morning and we talked you are probably now my sis😘 so although I don’t know the Fosters, they are now my people❤️ so I will be definitely keeping their name apart of this community on that building.
