Today, we remember all the 🐾tiny paws🐾 and 💕giant hearts💕 that have so richly filled our lives.

It's such a gift to be loved by an animal - their unyielding support in the smallest tasks that definitely don't require them, their always-happy-to-see you greetings even when you aren't at your best, their comforting cuddles when your cup is half empty....

Thank you for bringing us so much joy and for teaching us unconditional love.

Some of the most beautiful souls just aren't here long enough.

We'll see you on the other side, loves.

🚨 EMERGENCY 2-WEEK FOSTER NEEDED FOR HARPER! 🚨

📍BIRMINGAM, AL

Harper’s family is currently staying in a hotel that is not pet-friendly, and they desperately need a safe, loving place for her to stay temporarily. They already have housing lined up for September 9, so this is a short-term foster commitment of approximately two weeks. ❤️

🐶Meet Harper:

➡️1 year, 9 months old
➡️Female
➡️Up-to-date on vaccinations
➡️Extremely friendly and loves being around people
➡️Kid friendly — she currently lives with 3 little kids
➡️Dog friendly (including large dogs)
➡️House trained and will whine when she needs to go outside
➡️Don't let looks fool you — she's not a big barker
➡️Harper loves tummy rubs and head scratches
➡️Responds well to verbal correction
➡️And apparently, hearing “good girl” absolutely makes her day 🥹❤️

This family just needs someone to give Harper a safe place to land until they can move into their new home.

📢PET FOOD PANTRIES & RESOURCES IN ALABAMA

🐾Alabama Pet Pantry — Free dry and canned pet food for families in need in Jefferson and Shelby counties, with monthly distributions in Hueytown, Montevallo, and Pelham.

🐾King’s Community Kitchen (Greater Huntsville Humane Society) — Pet food pantry assistance for families in the Huntsville area.

🐾Tori’s Pet Pantry — Pet food assistance in the Mobile area; current distribution locations and dates are posted on their page.

🐾Baldwin Humane Society Pet Food Pantry — Pet food and assistance programs for families in Baldwin County.

As a local organization, we focus our efforts close to home, so we can build strong relationships with veterinary partners and provide meaningful support where it's needed most.

We know there is need everywhere, and we hope that by strengthening our local community, we can make the biggest impact possible.
