UPDATE: Sadly Romeo passed away peacefully earlier tonight. Jana was able to visit and love on him. He was a sweet boy. We are still hoping to raise funds to help his mom with the vet bill. ❤️

Hello friends. Sugarbelle Foundation is helping a very sick kitty cat named Romeo. He is anemic and dehydrated and will be hospitalized at Galleria Animal Clinic for several days! We are trying to help raise funds for his hospitalization. If you are able to help donate toward his care, his mom would be grateful!!

🐾 World Rabies Day | September 28 🐶🐱

Rabies is deadly—but preventable. The best way to protect your dogs and cats? Keep their rabies vaccinations up to date. 💉❤️

A few simple steps can make a big difference:

🐕 Vaccinate dogs and cats on schedule.
🐾 Limit contact with stray and wild animals.
🏡 Supervise pets when they’re outdoors.
🩺 Call your veterinarian if your pet is bitten or exposed to a potentially rabid animal.

🤝 Know someone who needs financial help with pet vaccinations?

Check out our Community Resources page for local assistance options ➡️ https://www.sugarbellefoundation.org/community-resources.html

Jefferson and Shelby County residents can also apply for assistance directly through Sugarbelle Foundation ➡️ https://www.sugarbellefoundation.org/apply-now.html

Help us spread the word so more pets can stay protected. 🐾

🐾 FAQ: Do you take in animals or offer animal surrender serivces?

This is a question we receive often, especially during difficult circumstances.

At this time, Sugarbelle Foundation does not provide shelter services or animal intake.

Our mission is focused on helping people keep the pets they already love and care for by assisting with veterinary and pet food needs whenever possible.

We believe that keeping pets with their families is often the best outcome for both pets and people.❤️

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, honor the courage of the first responders, and recognize the strength of all those whose lives were forever changed.

We also remember the courageous search and rescue dogs and their handlers who worked tirelessly in the aftermath, searching through the rubble and bringing hope and comfort during an unimaginable time. Their service and devotion remain an enduring part of the story of 9/11.

Today, we reflect on the resilience of the human spirit and our strength when we seek unity, resolve, and courage together.

We will never forget.
