💙💛 Standing in Support of Families Experiencing Pregnancy & Infant Loss 💛💙
Yesterday, the Lambda Mu Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. had the honor of attending the March of Dimes Signature Chefs Event as we begin building awareness and support for our upcoming Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month initiative this October.
Our chapter is collecting donations to support families at Kapiʻolani Medical Center for Women & Children throughout September and October to provide tangible support to mothers and families navigating pregnancy and infant loss. We are so grateful to all who have already donated so generously toward the cause.

PREGNANCY & INFANT LOSS AWARENESS
SEPTEMBER DONATION DRIVE
In preparation for October, Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, the Lambda Mu Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is coming together to support mothers and families who have experienced the devastating loss of a pregnancy or infant.
For families facing this unimaginable loss, leaving the hospital without their baby can be an experience filled with grief, trauma, and uncertainty. Through this donation drive, we hope to provide comfort, compassion, and practical support during an incredibly difficult time.

WHY WE GIVE:
This initiative brings together two of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.’s National Programs, Women’s Wellness Initiative and Project Cradle Care in an effort to support the needs of families navigating pregnancy, childbirth, and loss, while centering the physical, emotional, and practical needs of women during this vulnerable time.
Together, we can remind grieving mothers that they are seen, their babies are remembered, and they are not alone.

DONATIONS WILL BE PRESENTED TO KAPI'OLANI MEDICAL CENTER FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN OCTOBER 22, 2026. Donations will be accepted until that date

Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001—a day that forever changed our nation and the lives of countless families.
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. pauses to remember the lives lost, honor the courage of the first responders and everyday heroes who answered the call, and recognize the families and communities whose lives were forever changed.
As we reflect on this solemn anniversary, may we continue to lead with compassion, stand together in times of need, and strengthen our communities through service.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
