🌺 Olive’s Free Market 🌺
Through our partnership with Target Waikīkī, we’re able to rescue surplus food—items that would otherwise go to waste—and get it into the hands of our preschool families and community members who can truly use it.
Each week, Donna and Kamalani pick up a variety of foods, including frozen meats and vegetables, yogurts, kid-friendly meals, cereals, and more—along with fresh bread, which we give away weekly. Everything is carefully sorted and checked to make sure it’s fresh and safe. Donna leads the charge—handling pickups, sorting through everything, and making sure the market is set up and ready for families.
Families can come through and take what they need—at no charge.
Groceries are expensive. For many families, this makes a real difference. It helps stretch budgets and eases just a little bit of that everyday pressure.
But it’s more than that—it’s about care, dignity, and showing up for one another.
