Join us as we kick off HI-ACDA’s 50th Anniversary Celebration with our two-day Professional Development Series, taking place August 30–31, 2025. On August 30, we are honored to welcome ACDA National President Dr. Edith Copley, who will lead a conducting masterclass featuring six selected local conductors and the UH Mānoa Chamber Singers as the lab choir. The series continues on August 31 with our official Professional Development Day, offering a full afternoon of professional growth and community building with our Hawaiʻi choral community. The day includes a keynote and curated reading session by Dr. Copley, interest sessions led by local educators and conductors, and opportunities to engage with practical tools and inspiring ideas for your own ensembles. All are welcome to join us as we celebrate 50 years of choral excellence in Hawaiʻi!

The Hawaiʻi Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association and the Hawaiʻi Youth Opera Chorus proudly present the 2025 E Mele Kākou Elementary Choral Festival Concert. Join us for an afternoon of choral music featuring nearly 250 students from across the state of Hawaiʻi. This special event marks the return of the Elementary Choral Festival and celebrates the joy of singing, collaboration, and music education in our schools. Participating schools will each present individual selections, culminating in the final festival chorus under the direction of our 2025 EMK Clinician, Nola A. Nāhulu.
