The keikikāne of Ka Lā ʻŌnohi Mai o Haʻehaʻe make their debut at the 2nd Annual Mele Hula Festival. Under the direction of Nā Kumu Hula Tracie & Keawe Lopes, they received 1st place in the Keikikāne Division, with their performance of the mele “ʻOnipaʻa i ka ʻIuʻiu”

We are grateful for the three days we gathered to learn, share, celebrate, and deepen our understanding of the powerful role mele and hula play in our lāhui. As we reflect on this year’s event, our hearts are full of gratitude for everyone who joined us on this journey.

Mahalo to our attendees, panelists, musicians, participating hālau, volunteers, and countless supporters whose presence and dedication made this gathering possible!
