Hello,

Thanks for your interest in Cub Scouts!

Cub Scouts is about building character, friendships, and unforgettable experiences while learning the values of the Scout Oath and Law and advancing through the Scouting ranks. Our Hollis pack is dedicated to helping kids grow into confident, capable young people who live by the Scout Motto: “Do Your Best.”

Here’s a glimpse of what we've recently done. We are always trying to come up with new ideas:

Previous Events:
-Annual overnight on the USS Massachusetts: Sleep aboard a real WWII battleship
-Annual Pinewood Derby
-New This Year: Dedicated private beach and campsite at Rocky Pond: Exclusive to our scouts and families for scout events
-Summer Camps: Day and weeklong overnight options at Camp Carpenter, Manchester, NH (an amazing 250-acre Scouts owned
-Rocket building and launching
-Industrial scale drone demonstrations

Monthly activities: One den event and also one larger pack meeting at Hollis Upper Elementary School

Values
Scouting is about values, as well as fun:
-Respect for self and others
-Responsibility through teamwork and leadership
-Confidence from learning new skills
-Community by giving back and being helpful
-Mentorship from older Scouts

What You’ll Need
To get started in Cub Scouts, each family should plan for the following:
-Annual national and local membership dues
-A Cub Scout uniform (shirt, hat, neckerchief, and clasp)
-A Scoutbook for tracking achievements and progress
-Commit to monthly meetings (typically the 3rd Monday of the month at 6:30pm-7:15pm)

Family Involvement
Cub Scouting is a family-centered program. Parents and guardians are encouraged to join in the adventure, whether it’s helping with projects, attending monthly events, or simply cheering on their Scout at the Pinewood Derby. Families are welcome at all events, and your involvement makes the experience even more meaningful for your child.

Achievement and Recognition
As Cub Scouts participate in activities, they work toward earning badges, belt loops, and other accomplishments that recognize their progress. These achievements build a sense of pride, encourage responsibility, and mark their growth as they advance through the ranks of Cub Scouting.

Whether your child loves the outdoors, science and technology, building things, or simply having fun with friends, Cub Scouts has something for everyone.

We would love to have you and your family join our adventures. Please reach out with any questions or to learn how to get started. And if you are ready to join -click on the following link to register:
