We regret to inform our community that the Teens & Me + T1D Event, originally scheduled for November 8, has been canceled.

Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, 814 Splatter Box is no longer able to host the event.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding and support.

Today, Type 1 families came together to build Juicebox Comfort Kits for families who will one day face the overwhelming diagnosis of Type 1 diabetes. Our Juicebox Comfort Kits are filled with helpful items, toys, activities and little comforts to remind newly diagnosed kids that they are not alone.

Our kids filled kits with toys for children of varying ages and made encouraging cards for families to read during those difficult first days. It was such a meaningful way for them to learn the importance of giving back and caring for others in their community.

Afterwards, the kids got to play, make friends and just be kids, while newly diagnosed families had the chance to connect with others who truly understand.

Families helping families and kids helping kids. This is exactly what The Last Juicebox Project is all about.

After comfort kits are completed, we will have some pizza and snacks, and the kids will have some time to enjoy the fun activities downstairs at the beautiful Journey Center!

We are all ready for comfort kit making day tomorrow!

Tomorrow, families are gathering at The Journey Center to give back together by creating comfort kits for local families who may one day receive the life changing diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes.

There are so many people to thank for making this possible. Thank you to Cpcf Scholarships and Altoona Curve Baseball charities for the grant funding to kick this off, The Journey Center and Ashley Bennett for generously sharing its beautiful space, Justin Boose David at Endorse U for creating our brand new online store with tons of new Juicebox apparel and swag(will share the link soon!), Maria Thaler for getting up early to stand in line to score the coveted dumplings and squishies, our local churches for providing faith based items, & thread co for the beautiful embroidered hats, Gracie for helping me set this up today and not taking any of the toys that she desperately wanted 🤣, and our entire community for continuing to show up for these families.

We could not be more proud of where The Last Juicebox Project is going or more grateful for everyone helping us get there

We are so thankful for the churches and organizations, like Hearts and Hands Outreach Ministry at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, who answered our call for Comfort Kit donations. 💙

We are continually blown away by the kindness of our community. Thank you for helping us surround newly diagnosed T1D families with love, support, and faith as they navigate a difficult new season

💙 COMFORT KIT MAKING DAY 💙

The Last Juice Box is hosting a little comfort kit making day for our T1D kiddos! 🥰 We’ll be getting together, making some goodies, and spending some time with other T1D families who just get it.
