ACTS Holland ACTS: Arts. Community. Teaching. Serving. This is relational ministry with and for at-risk adolescents.

After years of being a family of friends and believers, Wetfeet ACTS was officially founded as a non profit ministry in the fall of 2011. ACTS works to: hang out, bear witness to one another's lives, build relationships, advocate in the school systems, tutor and mentor these young people. We believe in collaboration, unifying believers and non-believers alike to be a part of something bigger in our community.

It’s incredible to see kids dedicate time and effort to learning new skills and gaining confidence in the act of creating.

Art is a big part of ACTS and how we encourage kids to express themselves, but not all of our kiddos innately love it. So it’s a big deal when a child who doesn’t naturally gravitate towards art keeps coming back and commits to trying and learning to enjoy it.

We are so proud of all our Art Club kids, but today we just have to shout out our appreciation for Roman! He is a great example of dedication and openness to Art.

What a way to end a summer of amazing programs, projects, and people at ACTS!

These kids have learned how to trust and respect one another.
They have learned the reasons why being a part of a team is so much better than going at things alone.
They have all taken turns having days when they need help and encouragement and days when they get to be the ones encouraging and helping.

We are proud and hopeful as this summer comes to a close.
There is so much to hold onto and so much ahead!

We have been having an amazing summer learning, playing, and growing friendships (and garden veggies too!)

There is still so much summer-fun remaining, but it is about that time to start thinking about BACK-TO-SCHOOL.

Every year we help provide school supplies and backpacks to over 40 children and teens, and we would love your help!

School is out for summer for our ACTS kids, and our summer programs begin in 10 days. We would love your help in gathering the remaining materials needed to make this summer one filled with learning, laughing, exploring, enjoying and making so many memories!

We’re creating a Care Closet at ACTS that will be available to our kids, teens, and families. Our hope is to provide everything from personal hygiene products to school supplies and meal items.

We want ACTS participants to feel free to come to the closest anytime they have a need, no questions asked, no shame, just support.

The location in the house is picked out, we’re working on building custom shelves, and here is where we need your help…

We need to fill these shelves. There is a small selection of items collected already, but we stand in need of some additional items and back-stock before we can open the Care Closet.

Our Tuesday crew is a big one. A dozen littles, a handful of teen leaders and a couple of staff members… the house is abuzz. There are snacks and crafts and legos and doll clothes EVERYWHERE, all the time.

And while it is a lot, it’s a lot of good. It’s joy. It’s friendship. It’s safety. It’s freedom of expression.

These are the years when kiddos get to build lifelong bonds with one another and with their leaders. The rapport that’s built and trust that’s gained will be critical in years to come.

Tuesday’s might look messy and loud, but really if you take a step back, if you ignore the mess for a moment and just look at the lives, Tuesday’s are HOPE.

The ACTS Art Crew made wildflower seed bombs today and it was equal parts playful and creative. It was so fun to see what seeds each student selected and what dried flowers they wanted to decorate the clay outer shell with.

They were also all so excited to see Miss today! So glad she could come hang and help out with us.
