🎗️ Incredible progress! Earlier this week, Congress passed a funding package that included the Accelerating Kids’ Access to Care Act and the Mikaela Naylon Give Kids a Chance Act—important advancements for pediatric cancer care and research. The legislation has since been signed by the President and is now law.
The package also includes critical investments in:
•The STAR Act ($30M)
•Childhood Cancer Data Initiative (CCDI) ($50M)
•National Institutes of Health (NIH) ($48.716B)
•National Cancer Institute (NCI) ($7.325B)
•ARPA-H ($1.5B)
In addition, the law directs NIH to re-allow reimbursements for international research partners participating in pediatric cancer clinical trials, strengthening global collaboration and accelerating discovery.
