When someone dies by su***de, it touches the lives of so many – from families and schools to workplaces, faith communities, health care systems and beyond.

By the same token, when people feel connected, valued, and supported in the spaces where they live, work and worship, they are more likely to seek help. And when entire communities come together around a shared commitment to su***de awareness and stigma reduction, lives can be saved. This is BoroSafe's mission.

Another great resource, especially for the LGBTQ+ community

Asking someone if they’re thinking about su***de does not put the idea in their head. Asking a question can open a door to honesty and connection when someone needs it most.

This Su***de Prevention Awarneness Month, we’re reframing what su***de prevention can look like. Prevention lives in the everyday moments when we choose to listen, care, notice our friends, and remind each other and ourselves: You don’t have to carry this alone.

Prevention looks like asking and being open to an honest answer.
