Last night I had the opportunity to host Stamp Out Cancer 2026. This is something that is very near and dear to my heart as my wife and I are Stamp Out alum from 2014. Last night was the 15th iteration of this great even that was started in 2011 and to date has raised way over $1Million to benefit the Montgomery County Cancer Association. 3 years after my wife and I performed at Stamp Out I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. MCCA helped my family tremendously during my year and a half fight by covering gas costs to my daily radiation treatments in St. Louis, to covering power bills and other things. There is nothing on God’s green earth I wouldn’t do to try in some small way to return the favor. I know I’m one of the lucky ones, too. So many people in our community have lost loved ones to cancer and sometimes I feel guilty that I was fortunate enough to survive. What Zach Wygal and the rest of the Stamp Out Cancer team have done over these past 15 years is nothing short of a miracle. And the fact that the citizens of Montgomery County year after year show up to keep pushing the bar on what a stretch of 6 weeks in the first part of the year can raise just blows my mind. Last night was another record-breaking year. This is one of those competitions where every team wins, and I just wanted to take a moment to congratulate each of the 3 teams on raising over a quarter of a million dollars to break yet another record! I just so happened to snap a photo the moment my good friend Tony from Opera House Brewing Company placed the winning team on the coveted Stamp Out trophy last night. Team Rally with O’Malley, Team Helgen-Hyam Hustlers, and Team Hillsboro-ish raised the bar this year. Just an outstanding, fantastic job. My heart is so full it’s going to explode!

✨ The Gratitude Era – Stamp Out Season ✨

“It’s been a long time coming…”

Today marks the final big event of this year’s Stamp Out Cancer season, and what an era this year has been.

Six weeks of big ideas, wild moments, and a community that has shown up again and again. Teams might bring the events and ideas to life, but the people, this Hillsboro-ish community, is what makes Stamp Out possible. While people often show up to cheer for the team they support, they also go to other team's events to show love and support, say "thank you", offer encouragement, and say how proud they are. In the end, this community rallies together for one shared purpose, supporting our own when they need it most.
From our first event at Bar Olympics, to Bourbon Nights at Opera House, Pack the Place nights, Dueling Pianos, Bloody Mary Sundays, the Honor Walk, and last nights St. Patrick’s Day finale, we’ve watched this community rally together in the most incredible ways.

We’ve seen kindness, generosity, humility, encouragement, and laughter at every event.

And somehow… we even had people raising money to willingly take a pie to the face.
Honestly… who does that?

This community does.

In just six short weeks, something extraordinary happens. While teams might compete along the way, the truth is the community always wins.

We also need to thank the people behind the scenes, our families. It’s been a long six weeks, and they have said yes to every crazy idea and every wild plan… from baking bread to helping move Beni on his daily “world tour.”

And to our friends, thank you for listening, for letting us bounce ridiculous ideas off you, for helping set up, and for showing up event after event. You helped make all of this possible.

This season has been a little(or a lot) chaotic, so much fun, and completely unforgettable. We are so grateful, proud, and will forever now be in our "Hillsboro-ish" era. Thank you everyone.

To close out this Stamp Out Season, there’s only one way to end it:

đź’ś Long live the walls we crashed throughđź’ś
đź’ś Long live the magic we madeđź’ś
đź’ś And long live this incredible communityđź’ś
