🇺🇸 We Will Never Forget | September 11, 2001

Today, Scouting America Troop 5042 & Crew 7042 pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the first responders, service members, and ordinary citizens who showed extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and countless others who ran toward danger to help people they had never met.

We remember the families whose lives were forever changed.

And we remember how, in the days that followed, Americans came together to serve, support, and care for one another.

As Scouts, we are called to be helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, brave, and reverent. On this Patriot Day, may we honor those we lost not only with our words, but through lives of service, compassion, courage, and respect for others.

May we never forget the lives lost.
May we never forget the heroes.
May we never forget the courage and unity shown that day and in the days that followed.
