Youth Turkey Hunt Recap 🦃
Wolf River Quail Forever teamed up with Rawhide Outfitters for an unforgettable weekend in Doniphan County! After a great night at the lodge, our young hunters were up early and ready to go—but the weather had other plans.
A delayed start made for a challenging hunt, but that didn’t stop the determination. Out of three youth hunters, one was able to tag a turkey! 💪
Big thanks to Rawhide Outfitters and their guides for making this experience possible and investing in the next generation of hunters.

This weekend, Wolf River Quail Forever partnered with Rawhide Outfitters out of Doniphan County to host a youth turkey hunt we were proud to be part of.
Back at our November banquet, we were excited to give away three youth hunts hosted by Lexi Whetstine at Rawhide Outfitters. The weekend kicked off Friday evening with great food and even better company at the lodge.
Saturday morning came early for the kids and their guides, but challenging weather delayed the hunt until 12:30 PM—making for some tough conditions. Despite that, one of our three young hunters was able to harvest a turkey!
We want to extend a huge thank you to Rawhide Outfitters and their guides for hosting this event and helping create a memorable experience for these young hunters. Opportunities like this are what it’s all about!
