We are all set up for the sale today from 3-5 pm in the bus garage parking lot! Everything is priced $1 to $15.

Also, if you do not have dinner plans this evening, or if you have a sweet tooth, tonight is the first Hungry Hawks event at Pike Lake DQ from 4-8 pm!

Tonight is the first PTO meeting of the 2026-2027 school year from 6-7 in the staff lounge down the fourth grade hallway! We hope to see you there.

The PTO used to purchase clothing items from Frozen Mosquito Apparel and sell them at pop up times. We stopped doing that a few years back.

We found some of that inventory and it all needs to go!

We will have a pop up table in the bus garage parking lot on Thursday, September 17th from 3:00-5:00. We have a wide variety of women’s T-shirts (mostly size L and XL), Pajama pants (L and XL), some kids t-shirts and long sleeves (mostly kids L), and other random items.

All items are at least 50%, if not more off! You may pay by cash, check or by Zelle.

The money raised will go in the general fund to help pay for items such as snacks for our 3rd and 4th graders during MCA testing, the bouncy house and freezies on field day, and classroom experiences for each grade level (last year the kindergarteners got their own bouncy house, bubbles and Jonny Pops!)

Happy Labor Day! We hope you all were able to enjoy the long weekend after the first week of school.

Raise your hand if you remember as a kid your parent/guardian sending you to school with a sandwich bag of box tops, Campbell soup labels and milk caps🙋🏼‍♀️ My mom made sure both my brother and I had one!

Today, it looks a little different with the progression of technology. Box tops is still a thing, but with an app!📱

You download the app, make an account and put Hermantown Elementary as your preferred school. You can even link your Walmart account to the app to make things easier!

This is an easy way to help the PTO raise funds with the everyday purchases for your family and even your furry friends🐶 And right now, box tops purchased at Walmart are worth triple the box tops until the end of September!

Attached is a QR code to share with friends to raise even more box tops for our school, how cool is that?! Can you believe since the PTO started with box tops we have raised over $90,000🤯

I hope everyone’s back to school went great! It’s always hectic getting back after summer, but hopefully it went as smooth as it could.

In a few short weeks we will have our first PTO meeting of the school year. Come join us and see what we have planned for the coming year. We appreciate all new ideas and input to better our organization as a whole.

First meeting: Tuesday Sept 15th from 6-7pm in the Elementary Teachers Lounge!

*A big part of what we do for our school is fundraising. We will talk about fundraising at this meeting and what that will look like this year. Fundraising makes it possible to fund various field trips, and activities that parents would otherwise have to pay for along with classroom experiences. If you want input and have ideas please bring them. We can’t satisfy everyone if we aren’t given ideas and have volunteers to implement those ideas.

My daughter, Miss Hazel, just got this super cute crew neck sweater this summer at National Night Out! Hope to see you there tonight at open house!
