Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® - Omega Rho Omega Chapter was chartered on Saturday, April 22, 2017. The Chapter was previously known as The Cultured Pearls of the James Interest Group. The Cultured Pearls of the James Interest Group was formed on February 26, 2016, by 30 general members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. The group consists of dynamic women with a variety of e

xperiences and interests who came together because of their bond of sisterhood and their dedication to community service. The Omega Rho Omega Chapter collaborates with existing organizations, schools and community groups to execute the target areas of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority International Programs including Educational Enrichment, Health Promotion, Family Strengthening, Environmental Ownership and Global Impact. The sorority was founded on January 15, 1908 at Howard University in Washington D.C. and was incorporated on January 29, 1913.
