🚨Fundraising milestone alert!

Community Health Center of the New River Valley announced they are halfway to their fundraising goal for their new facility! The latest gift is a $100,000 donation from Bud Foster’s Lunch Pail Defense Foundation, which will underwrite two pediatric medical treatment rooms and two pediatric dental treatment rooms.

Over the next decade, experts are predicting healthcare provider shortages in the tens of thousands, from primary care and nursing to behavioral health and dentistry. Through the Community Health Scholarship, the Virginia Community Healthcare Association is doing something about it.

Celebrating the future of healthcare in Virginia 💚

In February, our Executive Director Michael Morelius attended the MCV Campus Endowed Scholarship Brunch, which brings donors and students together to celebrate the impact of their scholarships.

Funds from VCHF's scholarship, the Community Health Scholarship, were awarded to 10 students in VCU's Schools of Nursing and Social Work for the 2025-26 academic year. It was wonderful to meet with and hear from several recipients at the Brunch - we're very proud to be supporting them on their academic and professional journey.
