A historic moment: Girls flag football will be an officially sanctioned sport in 2026-27

The NCHSAA Board of Directors passed the motion by a narrow 9-8 margin. A separate motion dictated that the sport will be played during the fall season.

🚨WNC Flag Week 2 Game Day Reminder!🚨

We’re excited to kick off Week 2 games this Saturday at West Henderson High School starting at 8:00 AM! 🏈

Come hungry because the Sweet Retreat food truck will be on-site serving up:
🍩 Mini donuts
🍪 Deep fried Oreos
🥤 Lemonades, craft sodas & boba drinks
☕ Coffee drinks
⚡ All-natural energy drinks

Concessions:
We’ll also have full concessions available. There will be plenty of options to keep everyone fueled throughout the day! 🍕

💵 Admission Reminder:
$5 cash at the gate FREE entry if you volunteered in concessions last week or are signed up to volunteer this week!

🚗 Parking Reminder:
Only board members are permitted to park behind the concessions area.

🚫 Concessions Policy:
No kids allowed in concessions unless approved by a board member.

Mandatory Evaluations are today!
This is not a drop-in event. Athletes must arrive at their assigned start time listed below and will be released once their group’s evaluations are complete.

Please arrive on time so your athlete can check in and begin promptly.

Middle School girls: 8:00am - 9:30am
Middle School boys: 10:00am- 12:00pm
High School girls: 10:00am - 12:00pm
4th/5th grade: 12:30pm - 2:00pm
2nd/3rd grade: 2:30 pm - 4:30pm

All players must check in at the concession stand to register and receive their evaluation number. Reach out with any questions or concerns.
