The City of Hendersonville is creating a new Bicycle Plan, and your input matters. Whether you bike for transportation, exercise, recreation, or would like to ride more often, this is your opportunity to share your ideas.

Tonight’s Ride of Silence through Hendersonville was a powerful reminder that every person on a bike is someone’s family, friend, neighbor, or loved one.

We rode together to honor cyclists who have been injured or killed on our roads and to continue advocating for safer streets for everyone. Thank you to everyone who showed up, rode respectfully, shared stories, and helped bring awareness to this important event.

Let’s continue working toward a more connected, bike-friendly, and safer Hendersonville. 🚲🕊️

Tonight, Hendersonville Mayor Barbara Volk read a proclamation recognizing Bicycle Month and celebrating the importance of safe places to ride, active transportation, recreation, and the many benefits of biking in our community.

A big thank you to the local advocates, volunteers, and organizations including BikeWalkHVL and Blue Ridge Bicycle Club, who work year-round to support safer, more connected, and more bike-friendly communities here in Hendersonville and beyond. đź’š
