Nemo Jr. makes a big splash

Chester County Youth Theater played to a packed house and rave reviews earlier this month in their production of Finding Nemo, Jr. Around 1,200 attended the Feb. 6 and 7 performances. CCYT is a nonprofit inspiring confidence, creativity and community in young performers through quality theater education and productions. Finding Nemo, Jr. featured 52 Chester County students ranging from fourth to eighth grade. It's an exciting year for CCYT as our program turns TEN! So today we're throwing it back to where it all began: a week-long summer arts camp and Lion King.

The "Circle of Life" was brought to life by 26 awesome campers, 10 incredible staff members, and a Pomeranian (Baby Simba, of course!) 😁 We were joined by 380 audience members and raised $2,400 for the elementary fine arts program.

We have now wrapped up our sixteenth production and are in the planning stages for our next one. What a journey it's been.

The Finding Nemo JR cast gathered today for our end-of-show wrap party. It's a bittersweet day since it's the last time this cast will gather together. We also said "see you later" to our 8th graders (because it's never "goodbye" in CCYT). ❤️

The yarn circle is an opportunity for each cast member to share a special memory and is a reminder that it's not only our love of theater that connects us but also our love for one another.

Because CCYT is family.

Thank you to EVERYONE in our community who helped make our show so successful and memorable. We'll be seeing you again soon!

It's Thursday and today we're throwing it WAAAAAAAY back... to last week. 😁

Despite the odds and weather being stacked against us, we FINALLY took the stage last Friday night to present Finding Nemo, JR.
