Our nonprofit purpose is two fold, focusing on outdoor organic healing and reconnecting for all ages through nature and rescued animals.

16 Hands of Love provides a space where you can remember the love that you came from and the love that you came to be. Children/adolesc

ent sessions include opportunities to be creative and work through "real life" situations that naturally present themselves when in the presence of animals and nature. A safe and calm setting is provided to help an individual handle their upset and work through a situation without judgment. Experiences are not limited to: mindfulness, painting, nature walks, meditation, learning how to take care of barn animals, etc. Above all, learning will occur organically and without judgment. Research shows this type of environment is wonderful for those working through ADD/ADHD, aggression, anxiety, autism, etc. Adult personal healing and/or quiet meditation sessions are available with the horses in their time and space while in nature. An open heart is all that is needed to allow the horses to help you heal through whatever it is that life is presenting for you. Universal spiritual awakening guidance is available if requested and healing through the use of horses and nature by raising vibrational energy and consciousness. So very grateful for all the donations from last year that helped us get this nebulizer for Pony and Joker. They are already needing it this summer. It’s a relief to have it on hand. We could use donations to help cover the medication they need for it for the next 3 months. It’s about $100 a month on top of the things we regularly need. Go to 16handsoflove.org and Donations tab. With the heat of the summer months coming up, we don’t get as much participation in events. So it’s imperative at this time for us to access our funding in other ways. Adding us as your charity to Krogers Rewards helps so much.

Serving this sanctuary has been one of the greatest honors of my life. It is also my purpose to advocate for and care for these incredible beings who call 16 Hands of Love home.

Today, we are asking for support for something that often goes unseen. And something at our funds can’t cover at this time. We ask for your help.

These are not the obvious expenses like hay or feed. They are not the emergency veterinary bills that immediately feel life-saving. Instead, they are the daily wellness tools that help prevent those emergencies from happening in the first place. And at this time we don’t have extra funding for.

Many members of our herd arrived with existing health challenges. Others felt safe enough here for long-hidden conditions to reveal themselves so they could finally receive the care and support they needed.

Because of that, we choose to proactively support their health through targeted minerals, herbs, and supplements that have consistently helped them thrive.

For example, Takoda came to us with significant hoof challenges. To help maintain healthy hooves and prevent serious complications, he receives a specialized mineral blend that has become an important part of his wellness plan.

While donating toward a bag of minerals may not feel as dramatic as funding emergency veterinary care, the truth is that these minerals, herbs, and supplements are often what help keep those emergency calls at bay.

At this time, we are seeking to raise $800 to help support the herd through the summer months, when event revenue is traditionally slower.

Here is exactly what your donation will support:

🐴 Vermont Blend Minerals for Takoda’s hooves
3-month supply: $117

🐴 Immune, Respiratory, and Liver Herbal Support
For Joker and Hermione during asthma season through August: $430

🐴 Specialized Magnesium for Joker
Supports his head-shaking syndrome: $100 (one month)

Supports eye health and helps prevent eye cancer that Joker is particularly prone to: $140

Together, these items total approximately $800.

We currently have funding in place to cover feed and hay for the coming months, and we are deeply grateful for that support. What is not covered are these ongoing wellness needs that help our herd maintain comfort, vitality, and quality of life.
