Lisa is an amazing person and we are thankful for all of her support.

I want to give a huge shoutout to my friend Lisa Regina. She’s the founder of A Write to Heal and Heroic Episodes, both doing incredible work giving veterans and survivors a place to share their stories and start the healing process.

Lisa’s also been right there helping me on my own journey. making sure I’ve got the support I need to knock out my Part 107 drone pilot license. That’s going to let us bring next-level content to Check A Vet and tell our stories in a whole new way.

Lisa, you’re the real deal. Grateful for everything you’re doing for me, for veterans, and for this mission.

This weekend, we kicked off the first Helena Team Room Hike at Crow Creek Falls. What started as two veterans and a veteran advocate on a trail turned into something bigger: a reminder that healing, purpose, and community don’t end with military service — they just take new forms.

In the latest episode of Check A Vet Nation, Beyond Service: Finding Our Center, I share that story and speak directly to four audiences: Active Duty, Transitioning Veterans, Family Supporters, and Advocates.

The Helena Team Room hit the trail to Crow Creek Falls this past weekend!

It was about a 7-mile round trip—challenging enough to keep us moving, but not too tough to enjoy the views.

Highlights of the day:
• Jesse braved the icy water for a swim (didn’t last long—it was freezing!). ❄️
• We stumbled on a cache and officially added Check A Vet to the roster. See if you can spot it the next time you’re at Crow Creek Falls! 🔎

These hikes are open to all veterans, active duty service members, and first responders. Come join us for the next one and experience the power of connection, camaraderie, and the outdoors.
