Aaron’s Staff offers RESPITE to families who have loved ones with special needs. For our families, this looks like FOUR HOURS of peace while their loved one is in a caring, structured, joy-filled environment. And yes—it’s completely FREE.

WHY IS RESPITE CARE SO IMPORTANT?
Because we hear things like:
💗 “as a single parent to a special-needs teenager, I never had any free time to relax. This program offered me the peace of mind and freedom to be kid free once a month. A little help and patience goes a long way.. so I can step away and be an individual and not just a parent. I really do appreciate everything this program has done for my son— he is severely special-needs and not welcomed everywhere…thank you Aaron’s staff for accepting my son with open arms”

Families caring around the clock are EXHAUSTED. Many take shifts at night. Many have multiple children with special needs. Many feel like they can’t trust anyone else with their loved one.

The needs are GREAT.

Check out what we were up to this month at respite!

September Respite was a blast!

The theme this month was Psalm 23. Our friends enjoyed lessons, hands on activities, art, and music and movement that centered around our overflowing cups and the Lord as our shepherd! So many smiling faces this month.

I’m addition to the regular programming, Aaron’s Staff partnered with Grace Klein Community to help rescue bananas by mashing them into baby food pouches. What a cool way to serve the community together!

And to top it all off, Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe in Alabaster, AL sponsored our delicious dinner. THANK YOU Tazikis for your continued support of our ministry. It’s a crowd favorite!

👥 Interested in volunteering⁉️

We actually have a few ways that you can get involved and serve with us in the coming months.

📍 On Saturday, June 21 we will have our monthly respite night at First Baptist Church of Alabaster--We are looking for individuals or groups who would be willing to come and hang out with our special friends. Its sure to be a blast!

📍On July 15-17 and July 22-24, we will have Camp Aaron 2025! This camp will be help at the Church at Olde Town - Family Life Center in Helena, AL. We are looking for individuals or groups who would be willing to come hang out with our special friends for this VBS style camp.

We’re thrilled to announce Camp Aaron 2025—a 3 (or 6)-day adventure full of faith, fun, and friendship! This year’s theme is:

$50 per session

🍴 Please pack a lunch for your child each day. Some activities will be outdoors (weather permitting), so send campers in summer-appropriate clothing and don’t forget sunscreen!

Camp tuition includes a Camp Aaron 2025 T-shirt. A pre-order form will be sent soon so you can choose the right size for your camper.

Spaces fill quickly, so get ready to register and join us as we train to be champions for Christ!

**It is with heavy hearts we share that this year we will NOT have any openings for Class E (our one on one class). If your loved one is usually in this class, unfortunately, you will not be able to register for camp this year.**
