💛 Community Over Everything. 💛
The recent changes to SNAP benefits have left many families right here in our community struggling to put food on the table. It’s a heartbreaking reality — people are going hungry because the help they once relied on is no longer there.
As Miss Headland, I want to use my platform to do more than just raise awareness — I want to take action. My community service initiative, Food for Thought, is all about fighting food insecurity and showing love through service. 🤍
Did you know that local food banks, like the Wiregrass Area Food Bank, support everything from school pantries and soup kitchens to senior programs and homeless shelters? These organizations make sure no one in our community goes hungry — but they can’t do it alone.
Here’s how YOU can help ⤵️
💰I’ve attached Food For Thought’s Venmo. If you are able, any monetary donations would be so GREATLY appreciated! A locally owned Headland business, Bootlegger Liquors, has offered to match up to $1️⃣,0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ of whatever we can collect as a community!
🥫 Donate nonperishable items like peanut butter, canned meats, vegetables, and pasta.
💵 Consider donating money — food banks can stretch dollars even further by purchasing food in bulk and partnering with grocery stores.
📍Drop-off locations are available locally, including Bootlegger Liquors in Headland and Abbeville, which are now accepting both food and monetary donations!
If you or someone you know needs food assistance, you can always call 211 for the most accurate and up-to-date local help. ❤️
Let’s work together, take action, and impact others. Together, we can make a difference — one meal, one act of kindness, one donation at a time. 🫶
