“Flagged for Fun” continues, but this week was not so much fun — it was emotional.

Harold “Tuss” Miller was nominated by his granddaughter, Tiffany to be honored with our flags. Since his nomination, Tuss had moved to the Villa, and we changed course to honor him there along with all the residents by placing 20 flags at the Villa.

Unfortunately, Tuss passed away this week. With permission from his granddaughter, we kept the plan in place.

Today, these flags still honor you, Tuss. Now they wave in memory of you. Because of your family’s kindness, the residents at the Villa are able to share in this tribute as well.

🇺🇸 Flagged for Fun 🇺🇸

Today’s Flagged for Fun recipient is Roger Kress, who was nominated by his family in honor of his service to our country. Roger, a proud veteran, will be traveling tomorrow with Honor Flight Dubuque and the Tri-States to Washington, D.C. for a very special trip.

The Tunes and Booms committee proudly placed American flags to honor Roger and to thank him for his dedication and sacrifice.

A special thank you to Roger’s family for their donation to Tunes and Booms and for nominating him for this recognition.

Thank you, Roger Kress, for your service, sacrifice, and commitment to our country. 🇺🇸
