HFEE is extremely excited for this event and opportunity to share with everyone what we have achieved since 1994!

There are a lot of ways to build in Hayward. The Hayward Foundation for Educational Enrichment (HFEE) has been working on one of the most important since 1994, and we’re honored they’ll host the very first event at The Lumber Exchange.

On Thursday, September 17, The Lumber Exchange will host the first event in the life of this building: a Hayward Area Chamber of Commerce Business After 5, hosted by HFEE.

Before our grand opening, before the ribbon cutting, and before this place settles into the daily rhythm we hope it will have for many years to come, its first gathering will belong to an organization that has spent more than three decades investing in Hayward's future.

For a place built around ideas, community, and looking to the future while honoring the past, it’s hard to imagine a more fitting first gathering.

Thank you to everyone who donated items to the Silent Auction and Raffle for our golf fundraiser! Your generosity and support helped us raise more than $60,000 to support educational enrichment throughout the Hayward Area School District. 🙌

Congratulations to the Proxy & Game winners from our golf event!

Participants enjoyed a variety of games throughout the day, including a putting contest, dice game, and team ball challenge. A special thank you to Chippewa Valley Bank for generously providing the golf balls used in the team ball challenge. ⛳

We had 26 teams participate in the Team Ball Challenge game, and 18 teams successfully kept their ball through the course. Becker Property Management was drawn as the winner of the $260 prize. Congratulations as well to Michelle Abila, our 50/50 raffle winner! 🙌
