🌟 Organization of the Month: Cable Hayward Area Arts Council🌟
🖌CHAAC supports creativity across our community by providing scholarships, teacher grants, and funding for local artists of all ages.
🖌They’re currently seeking volunteers for roles like Vice President, Secretary, Marketing, Social Media, Fundraising, Grant Writing, and more — about 4 hours a month.
🖌Meetings are held monthly, with in person sessions during warmer months and Zoom in the winter.
🖌Their busiest time is August during the annual Art Crawl!

Unpopular opinion: Volunteering doesn't always mean signing up for an event.

Every time you pack out your trash, pick up an extra wrapper on the trail, or leave a spot cleaner than you found it, you’re donating your time to keep our local spaces beautiful. 🌅🌲💚

Even if no one is around to applaud you, we see you, and we appreciate you. Thank you for being awesome!

🌟 Small towns run on heart — and that heart is our volunteers.
When neighbors step up, amazing things happen. Here are just a few ways local volunteers quietly keep our community strong:

💚 They lead youth programs and mentor our kids
🎉 They make festivals, parades, and fundraisers possible
🌱 They clean parks, plant flowers, and care for shared spaces
🚒 They staff essential services like fire, EMS, libraries, and museums
🥫 They run food pantries and organize clothing drives
🤝 They support nonprofits with planning, fundraising, and outreach

💁All of this happens because someone chose to show up.
