Over 5 high-energy days, our very first iDeation Lab at Eden Youth brought together a group of curious, creative, and driven young minds to turn real community problems into real solutions. From empathy, to discovery, to building, these students didn't just learn STEM. They lived it!
And we delivered 4 student-led innovations:
* An prosthetic healthcare assistive concept for arm amputees right here in Hayward
* A therapy companion app designed to help prevent depression and drug addiction for Parents
* A gamified math platform that meets kids where they are (no boring chalkboards!)
* A smart hall pass system to help schools reduce misuse, improve safety, and address va**ng concerns
But the real story is the transformation:
* Students interviewing end users like real founders
* Sketching, debating, laughing, building
* Leveraging technologies turning sticky notes into prototypes
* Learning to code by building what you want
Jumping from "I don’t know…" to "I've got an idea!"
Throughout the week, we witnessed confidence grow, creativity emerge, and innovation come to life.
We're proving that when young people are given the right tools, the right environment, and the freedom to think critically, they don't just participate in technology, they create it.
And this is only Pilot #1.
