Our organization is based on the principles of helping others. This mission comes from our name, OPHELIA, which means "help" in Greek. Our Impact
We support local youth initiatives in our communities to raise educational levels, alleviate poverty and improve health outcomes. Our Grants
We provide grants to individuals and institutions in our community to address PHEAST—poverty, health, education,

arts, sports and technology. Our Leadership
Our leadership manages programming, develops partnerships and maximizes time and efforts representing the foundation while advancing the causes of the organization.

Attention high school students from D.C., Virginia, and Maryland! You have one week remaining to apply for our 2026 Scholarships, with five $1,000 awards available. The Ophelia Foundation Scholarship will grant three $1,000 awards, while the Lucius Alexander Jackson Scholarship will prioritize students pursuing STEM fields. The Faith Christian Church & International Outreach Center Scholarship will give preference to those pursuing degrees in Education or Criminal Justice. Eligible applicants must submit their applications by March 8, 2026. The Ophelia Foundation is pleased to announce that there are three weeks remaining to submit applications for the 2026 Scholarships. This year, we are delighted to offer the following prestigious awards:
The Ophelia Foundation Scholarship ($1,000) - three scholarships will be granted. Lucius Alexander Jackson Scholarship ($1,000) - preference will be given to students pursuing a degree in STEM fields.
Faith Christian Church & International Outreach Center Scholarship ($1,000) - preference will be given to students pursuing a degree in Education or Criminal Justice.

Eligible applicants must be high school students from D.C., Virginia, or Maryland. The application deadline is March 8, 2026.
