It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Carl Eldred. Carl was a familiar face and a true friend to many at the Legion. His unforgettable laugh and warm presence filled the room and brought joy to everyone around him.

Please keep Carl’s family and loved ones in your thoughts during this difficult time.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Legion on February 21 from 4–8 PM. All who knew and loved Carl are welcome to join us as we remember and honor a life that touched so many.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the dedicated volunteers who showed up at St. Mary's Cemetery on May 17, 2025. Your hard work and commitment helped us honor and raise up our veterans, ensuring that their sacrifices are remembered and respected.

The day was filled with camaraderie and purpose as we came together to make a meaningful difference in our community. Your efforts in maintaining the cemetery and paying tribute to those who served our country demonstrate the values of respect and gratitude that we hold dear.

Thank you once again for your time, energy, and support. Together, we are making a significant impact in preserving the memory of our heroes.

Join American Legion Post 236 in honoring our Veterans by cleaning and properly resetting their military service plaques. This year we will complete our work at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Leeds. No special skills required, just willing hands, hearts, and some lawn tools (shovels,wheelbarrows, metal rakes) if you’ve got them. Hope to see you there!
