🚑 Community Safety Notice – Please Check on Your Neighbors 🚑

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Hawkins Ambulance is currently out of service. The nearest available ambulance service is approximately 20 miles away, which may result in longer response times for emergency calls.

Lisa will be running with the Ladysmith Ambulance Service to help assist with coverage during this time of the impending storm.

We ask our community to please take extra precautions and look out for one another.

Please consider:
• Checking in on elderly neighbors or those living alone
• Making sure family members have needed medications and supplies
• Practicing extra caution to prevent accidents or injuries
• Keeping your phones nearby in case of emergency

Our community has always been strongest when we watch out for each other. A quick call, message, or visit could make a big difference for someone today.

Please keep our Fire Chief in your thoughts and prayers as he faces health challenges. A Fire Chief carries more than a title — they carry the weight of every call, every decision, every firefighter’s safety, and every family they serve.

Behind the badge is a father, a friend, a neighbor… and a human being who has given so much to protect others.

Now it’s our turn to stand in the gap.

We pray for strength on the hard days.
We pray for healing in every sense of the word.
We pray for peace for his family.
And we pray for the medical team caring for him.
