The Foundation had the pleasure of honoring three Havre De Grace Seniors in May, each receiving a Scholarship check to use this fall. The Foundation plans to continue this tradition with hopes to grow the number of recipients and the size of the scholarship each year. Why do we need to preserve our Cities history ? Today Havre de Grace was officially pronounced a Victory City. Gen. George Washington crossed the Susquehanna to what is now Havre de Grace and determined that both French and his troops could come through the town, be assisted by the citizens as needed on their way to fight the British in Yorktown.
