Phi Rho chapter's own by way of Nu Eta... Bro. Dr. Cheyenne Trussell .. Congratulations!
The William Carey University College of Education is pleased to announce Dr. C. Cheyenne Trussell as the Coordinator for Interscholastic Athletic Administration degree programs. This program has been led by Dr. Walter Cooper, who will retire at the end of the summer term.
Dr. Trussell brings more than four decades of distinguished experience in education, athletic administration, and leadership. Throughout his career, he has served as an athletic director, executive director of student activities, assistant principal, principal, coach, and educator in school districts across Mississippi.
A nationally recognized leader in athletic administration , Dr. Trussell has received numerous honors, including being named the 2020 Mississippi Athletic Director of the Year by the Mississippi Association of Coaches and a National Finalist for Athletic Director of the Year in 2023. His leadership has also earned recognition from the Mississippi High School Activities Association and other professional organizations.
In addition to his extensive K–12 leadership experience, Dr. Trussell has been committed to preparing future educators and athletic leaders through higher education. He has served as an adjunct instructor at William Carey University since 2014.
As Coordinator for Interscholastic Athletic Administration, Dr. Trussell will provide leadership for the program while preparing the next generation of athletic administrators to lead with integrity, vision, and excellence.
