Guys Who Give - Barry County

We are local men committed to inspiring change in support of Barry County charities. Together, we hope to give $40,000 annually to better our community.

Each quarter, we aim to raise money by donating $100 each to a chosen charity, making a local impact.

What a great night! Tonight at our Q3 Impact Event, we kicked things off by celebrating our venue partner, Venue 1230 with a special plaque to recognize their support of this group. Yon Bucher and crew have been amazing supporters of our chapter with free use of the facility, and donated food and drinks.

Next, we presented a $2,625 donation to our Q2 2026 winner, Hastings Rotary Club to support the Hastings Skate Park 🛹 redevelopment project. Rotarian and Chairperson for the project, Cloe Oliver, came out to accept the donation on behalf of the club.

If that wasn’t enough, new member (and winner of the Weller Special Reserve bottle🥃) Rob Deming nominated the winning recipient for the quarter… 🥁…

We had a nice turnout with a few new faces for Wedneday's Q2 Event, and presented a $2,500 donation to our Q1 2026 winner, Green Gables Haven! Executive Director Janie Bergeron was on hand to talk about her organization and thank everyone for your support.

📣 Winner of the Q2 donation is: Hastings Rotary Club Skate Park. 🛹

Rotary is leading efforts to rebuild the dilapidated skate park at the First Ward Park in Hastings - re-establishing an outlet for area youth recreation. The current structure is in disrepair, and is located one block from the 135 new Hastings Riverwalk Apartment units and Mill Street Market, both under construction currently.

📣 Winner of the Q4 donation is The Merritt Matrix - an organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with autism who struggle with language deficits and delays. Their primary goal is to raise funds to provide Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC) devices.
