Exciting things are happening here! The HWC Cheer Team is excited to announce the first ever Cheerleading Showcase! This is open to any cheer team in North Dakota. Join us in showing off what your team has accomplished throughout this year! No judges, no scores, just performances and appreciation for the hard work you’ve poured into your cheer season. We will also hold our mini cheer camp during this time with the Little Hornettes performing at the showcase. Contact Alicia Olson at Harvey High School for more information! We had a great Homecoming week! Mini cheer camp was a success with a total of 45 kids between Harvey and Fessenden. We hope to continue growing this program, and mini camp is the best way to show kids what cheer is all about. I love every single camp experience, and this year, my favorite moment was in Fessenden. As the kids all introduced themselves and said what grade they were in, one of the cheerleaders said to the kids, “Did you know Coach Alicia was born in the 1900s?” The looks of disbelief and the “holy buckets that’s old” comments completely sent me 😂😂. Thank you to the communities of Harvey and Fessenden for allowing us to teach your children and for your unwavering support of our cheerleaders!!

Hey all you Hornet fans!! The cheer team will once again hold a mini cheer camp for kids in grades K-6. We will have a date in Harvey and one in Fessenden. Forms will be sent home next week and will be due back by September 19! Be on the look out for information!!
