Oh, hello all! Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there this Sunday afternoon!

I know we’ve been in a drought here lately and I agree as much as the next person that it’s been brutal.

Locally, the SPC has an enhanced risk put out for today. Make sure you have a way to get alerted if the storms go severe or warnings get issued. NEVER put your life on the line relying on social media alone! There are a ton of mobile apps (I like the Red Cross apps) and your local store should have them for sale for little to nothing. If anyone needs recommendations for a device or assistance with setting one up, feel free to reach out.

Stay safe out there friends and stay on alert.

As the first round of storms have approached and somewhat subsided, leaving a good amount of rain and some strong gusty winds, this is the probability for this afternoon and evening. As the first round moves out and the sun warms up the skies, the risk will be steady. If the cloud cover doesn’t diminish, then this risk should potentially drop. Will update later as the time approaches.

As photos and videos come in, I will be sure to upload them and credit where credit is due. I want to take the time now to thank the ones who had MY back while I had others'. Thank you to everyone who was sharing and spreading the word. I also want to thank everyone, because as much as I care for you all, I understand you need to know what's happening on your pin point location at any given moment, but this time, we kept the DM's clear for the most part. I don't ignore you, but I try to share the word with EVERYONE at once. So thank you for that. We have a lot of cleaning up to do locally, so let's get to it folks. Thank you all again and I hope everyone was safe during this wild event. -Jeremiah and the rest of the FF family

Just a friendly reminder that no one should rely heavily on social media for their severe weather threats. GET A WEATHER RADIO! It's 2020 now, folks. If you don't have one by now, you have no one to blame but yourselves if something catches you off guard. With that being said, I will not be replying to IM's, DM's, or SMS's as I have my own personal life to protect with this storm approaching. If you really need to know what to expect, there are a number of free apps on mobile devices that work just as well as a live tv and weather radio. Stay safe everyone! This storm is not a joke. Reports of winds at 112mph were already reported in Iowa.

*blows dust off keyboard* Hey funnel finder family! Long time, no post. Let’s just jump right into it, shall we? A derecho is forming over Iowa as we speak. I’m sure most of you are aware of this. A derecho is a long line of storms that push major force ahead of it and could (will) cause wide spread wind damage. Winds could peak near or even exceeding 100mph. There could be hail up to 2” in some areas, and of course an isolated tornado could be possible with these storms as well. If you are out and about when these storms approach, PLEASE seek shelter as this is not something you want to be outside during! Stay safe everyone and I will update as the storms approach closer. -Jeremiah
